Remembering the Great War in Delaware

In Wilmington, Delaware’s Sunday Star newspaper of late March 1915, we see Italy contemplating entrance into WWI, Russia drawing closer to Hungary, the escalation of the cost of living due to the war, and Great Britain becoming overly optimistic about victory. Delaware soldiers honored this week are 2nd Lt. Marshall Hall, Commander Raymond Cooke, and Infantryman Bruno Vilone. Local sports news includes girls basketball teams, a reference to Passover, and an ad for Easter attire.
