This week we spotlight excerpts from

Memoirs of the Life and Writings of Benjamin Franklin, LL. D., Minister Plenipotentiary From the United States of America, at the Court of France, and For The Treaty of Peace and Independence With Great Britain Written By Himself To A Late Period And Continued To The Time of His Death By His Grandson William Temple Franklin.

This book was published in London in 1818.

The two recipients of this year’s Delaware History Makers Award, which will be presented next Tuesday evening , Sept 15th, are best selling author and justice advocate Bryan Stephenson, a Milton, Delaware native, and former U.S. Congressman and Governor Mike Castle.

Castle is a descendant of Benjamin Franklin.
