A Victorian Holiday Visitor

Featured in this post is a delightful holiday periodical published on December 6th in 1886. The James & Webb Printing and Stationary Company’s “Holiday Visitor” contains charming illustrations, a Christmas story entitled “Out of Darkness”(most of which is provided here) and a host of advertisements emblematic of the era.  The James & Webb company was located at 224 Market Street in Wilmington, Delaware. Illustrations were provided by D. Lorthrop & Company.
