Remembering World War I: Russians Defend the City of Bucharest in Furious Battle This Week, 1916

The April 4th, 1919 Evening Journal newspaper announcement of the death of Delaware soldier Thomas Davis, of the 59th Pioneer Infantry, is provided here. Davis was killed by a landmine and left behind a wife and small child. The service record of Polish American Joseph Komorowski is also provided along with numerous headlines and local news from the Delmarva Sunday Star newspaper of early December, 1916.
