Featured in this post is the very first Christmas issue of Delaware Today Magazine which was first published in the year is 1962. The DHS library collection contains a large number of issues of this iconic Delaware publication from its inception through today. Magazines are treasure troves for exploring fashions, advertisement styles, automobile designs, consumer goods & prices, and the cultural atmosphere of Delaware in the year of publication. A look through this issue of DT is like stepping back into the world of John F. and Jackie Kennedy’s ‘Camelot’. Delaware Today Magazine is still going strong today.
A highlight from the Delaware Historical Society’s book collection appears on this blog every Wednesday morning.
