World War I, 100 years ago this Week

During this week 100 years ago , a major battle took place in Romania: the Battle of Marasti, with Russian and Romanian armies joining forces to attack the German 9th Army. The result was a much needed victory for the Romanian army which fought with tactical brilliance and tenacity. In Russia, Alexander Kerensky replaces Georgy Lvov as the leader of the Russian Provisional Government.

Our featured WWI Delaware soldiers this week are Neil F. Gibbon, African American John Burres, and Francis Dewey Barker.
